Course Objective(s) :
This course will enable the students to -
get acquainted about the quantitative estimation of different ions volumetrically and to make students learn about the synthesis of different metal complexes and to identify them with the help of IR spectra

Inorganic Synthesis
Preparation of selected inorganic complexes and their interpretation by IR, UV, TGA and DTA data.

The duration of examination will be 5 hrs.

Quantitative Analysis 30 marks
Viva 15 marks
Total 70 marks
Inorganic Synthesis:
This exercise carries 25 marks. Ten marks are reserved for assignment of IR spectra and remaining fifteen marks are reserved for neat, methodical systematic working and result. The exercise amongst the candidates will be allotted by lot.
The yield, purity and proper presentation of the compound shall be taken into account while awarding marks.
Volumetric Exercise:
The exercise carries 30 marks. The distribution of marks will be as follows:
Ten marks will be reserved for the preparation of solutions, neat methodical and systematic working of the candidates.
The remaining 20 marks will be distributed as follows:
