Prof. Bharatam gave an insight into the basics of quantum chemistry and computational chemistry. He explained the simple methods to solve Schrodinger wave equation. Besides this he also explained the basics of computational chemistry and its applications in medicinal chemistry. He acquainted the students with the recent advances in drug discovery especially in designing and developing anti cancer drugs. He also focused on the various aspects like design and synthesis of anti diabetic agents, studies in drug metabolism and toxicity mechanism behind drug encapsulation predicting solubilization and release trend, drug dendrimer, electronic structure of guanidines.
