Objective: It aimed to provide a platform for students to learn from a successful industry professional and gain valuable insights into the world of IPR and entrepreneurship.

 

The event was organized by the IIS Group of Institutions in collaboration with the PEN Media Foundation on 31 July, 2023 in APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium, IIS School. Topic of the event was IPR- Driven  Innovation & Women’s Entrepreneurship’. The event featured a prominent speaker, Nancy Wang, the General Manager of Amazon Web Services, who shared insights on intellectual property rights (IPR) and its role in fostering innovation, particularly in the context of women entrepreneurs.. The session was moderated by a host on stage, who engaged Nancy Wang in an enlightening conversation about IPR-driven innovation and its impact on women's entrepreneurship. The interview format allowed for a structured discussion while ensuring that the audience remained engaged.

Nancy Wang emphasized the critical role of intellectual property rights in protecting and incentivizing innovation. She discussed how patents, trademarks, and copyrights can help entrepreneurs safeguard their ideas and creations, giving them a competitive edge in the market. She also discussed the need for a supportive ecosystem for women entrepreneurs, including mentorship programs, funding opportunities, and networking events. She encouraged students to seek out such resources to fuel their entrepreneurial aspirations.

Following the interview, the audience had the opportunity to interact with Nancy Wang directly. This interactive session allowed students to ask questions, seek advice, and gain deeper insights into the topics discussed during the interview. The lecture ended with a warm vote of thanks.
