On 20th December 2022, Chandani Mathur presented her work titled ‘A cascade reaction of imidazo[1,2-a]pyridines with maleic anhydride: Formation of cross-conjugated mesomeric betaines.’ wherein she highlighted the synthesis and characterization of a new class of mesomeric betaines. A panel of subject experts cross-examined her work and gave their valuable comments.
She detailed out her results and touched upon the factors that reinforced the results obtained. Her work was appreciated by all.
Prof. Raakhi Gupta and Prof. R. K. Bansal delivered closing remarks where they encouraged all to be involved in taking the research frontiers a step ahead.
Outcome: The research colloquium was a learning experience for all where the presenter was given an opportunity to showcase her presentation & public speaking skills, while the audience got a chance to learn about the new research happening in the department.
