Objective of the seminar: Computers and information technology plays an important role in different fields of Science. It also plays an important role in making decisions faster in the area of drug identification and optimization. This seminar was organized to give an insight to the students about “Cheminformatics” and “Pharmacoinformatics”
Department of Chemistry, IIS University, Jaipur has organized a guest lecture on the topic “Cheminformatics” and “Pharmacoinformatics” on 27th and 28th July, 2018 respectively by Prof. Krishna Misra, Honorary Professor, IIIT Allahabad.
Prof. Misra explained the use of information technology in Chemical Sciences, be it drug design or protein synthesis. Students were enlightened and quite delighted to understand the use of computer software in drug designing, their efficacies & side effects. The use of software in toxicology was also eye opening. The lecture ended with her career guidance and scopes in the field of chemistry.
