Laboratory Course X           

 

 

The students will be able to –

 

CO174: separate two liquid by distillation method.

CO175: separate two/three solid organic compound mixture by different separation technique.

CO176: purify and identify of component of a mixture of organic compound.

CO177:  perform Thin Layer Chromatography for checking the purity of separated organic compound.

Unit I: 

Qualitative Analysis

Separation, purification and identification of components of a mixture of two and three organic compounds (Two/three solids, one/two solid and one liquid) using TLC for checking the purity of separated compounds.
