b. Two step synthesis
i. Benzoin → benzil → benzilic acid (calculation of atom economy required).
ii. Benzophenone → benzopinacol → benzapinacolone
iii. Acetanilide → p-bromoacetanilide → p-bromoaniline
iv. Acetanilide→ p-nitro acetanilide→ p-nitro aniline
v. Pthalic anhydride → Pthalimide → Anthranilic Acid
